What We Do

Compost Connect Initiative is a sustainable food security program designed to empower children’s homes, schools, and underserved communities to grow their own nutritious food through kitchen gardens, environmental education, and hands-on learning.

The program combines practical food production with education, transforming orphanages and learning spaces into environments where children not only access healthier meals but also become knowledgeable environmental stewards and ambassadors of sustainable living.

Core Objectives

Compost Connect Initiative seeks to:

• Improve access to fresh and nutritious food in children’s homes.
• Reduce dependency on external food support through local food production.
• Educate children about sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation.
• Develop practical farming and entrepreneurship skills among learners.
• Promote healthy eating habits and nutrition awareness.
• Transform students into environmental and food security ambas

Program Model

We combines community implementation + education + youth leadership.

The program has three interconnected components:

1.  Sustainable Kitchen Gardens ; The program supports children’s homes and schools to establish productive kitchen gardens.

2.  Environmental & Agricultural Education ; proTurning learners into knowledgeable change makers.

2.  Green Champions Program ; Selected students become Green Ambassadors who help promote the program within their communities.

Long-Term Vision

Compost Connect Initiative aims to build a network of sustainable orphanages and schools where young people grow food, understand environmental challenges, and become leaders in creating resilient communities.

The long-term goal is to transform students from being beneficiaries of support into active contributors and ambassadors of sustainable development.
